After the Anti-Japanese War (1937-1945), the Kuomindang Government got a negotiation with Chinese Communist in Chongqing, which is called "Chongqing Negotiation".

On the 10th February, 1946 a fight was happened in Yuzhong District, which called Jiaochangkou Incident. Some Chinese Communist members were injured.

On the 2nd September of 1949, a fire disaster happened in Chongqing which caused about 10,000 people died.

On the 11th October of 1949, Chongqing became the government office.

On the 15th October of 1949, Chongqing was officially approved as the government office.

On the 17th of November of 1949, American embassy was closed.

On the 27th of November of 1949, the political offenders were killed by Kuomindang government, which called the Event of 27th November.
