In Yangtze River history, there are lots of rare plants and animals living along Yangtze River, such as ancient silver fir, ancient Hongtong (a kind of plant), Panda, golden monkey, and Chinese Aligator. Some of which are known in the world but only living in Yangtze River Basin.

Freshwater Fish Resource in Yangtze River History

There are lots of lakes in Yangtze River Basin, and many different kinds of fishes are living in the lakes. Thus the variety and output of fish of Yangtze River Basin rank the No.1 accounting for more than 60% of the total amount of China. The water surface covers 130 million mu accounting for about 1/2 of China's, (1 mu ≈ 0.067 hectare), which the available water resource is about 50 million mu for aquaculture.

The 274 different kinds of freshwater fishes of Yangtze River Basin have been known accounting for 39% of China's. The commercial fishes are more than 60. The producing area mainly distribute in middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River.

Minerals Resource in Yangtze River History

In whole China, 130 kinds of minerals have been explored. Yangtze River has more than 110 kinds of minerals accounting for 80% of China. Yangtze River Basin has few coals only accounting for 7.7% of China. The coal amount mainly distribute in Guizhou Province, Sichuan Province and Yunnan Province.

Tourism Resource in Yangtze River History

Yangtze River Basin has a long ancient history and rich tourism resource. There are many famous scenery spots such as Mt. Emei, Jiuzhaigou, Three Gorges. In addition, there are many historic cities such as Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai and Nanjing. Thus Yangtze Cruise attracts people not only for its own prominent facilities and comfortable service, but also the unforgettable attractions in Yangtze River history.
