Yangtze River History – Brief Introduction of Yangtze River

The Yangtze River is the longest river in Asia which is length of 6397 kilometers. The Yangtze River originates from the Geladandong Snow Mountain in the southwest of the main peak of the Tibetan plateau mountain. The glaciers feed the Yangtze River and Yellow River, which irrigate crops along their banks. The main stream of Yangtze River flows through the Tibet prefecture, Sichuan Province, Yunnan Province, Hubei Province, Hunan Province, Jiangxi Province, Anhui Province, Jiangsu Province and Shanghai City, and flow into the East China Sea at Chongming isle (belongs to Shanghai City).

Yangtze River is called the Mother River with Yellow River together, which is a symbol attraction of China. And Yangtze Cruise is a symbol attraction on Yangtze River too.

Yangtze River History – Ancient Culture

Many amazing civilizations are based around great rivers. Like other famous rivers all over the world, Yangtze River, with fantastic sceneries and a long history, has nurtured brilliant civilization in south China.

According to Yangtze River history, about 2 to 3 million years ago to 1 million years ago, the Yangtze River basin is an early humans' evolution of the one of important areas. Many ancient architectures, ancient tombs, ancient stone carvings and ancient kiln sites have been discovered along Yangtze River, such as Fenghuan que (made of stone, a tower of Han dynasty), Leshan Buddha (in Sichuan province), and Mt. Jun in Yixing (which is the important region in Southern China one of the early celadons).
