The Rescue Practice of Passenger Ship during Foggy Day in Three Gorges Waters

On the 7th December, a foreign cruise of the name of "Three Gorges of number one" had crashed and sank for the difficult situation of the foggy weather. The passengers fell into the water and some of them didn't take the lifebelt. This was the rescue practice of passenger ship during the foggy weather in the Three Gorges Waters.

According to report, because of the frequent foggy weather during these days in the winter, the marine bureau made the rescue practice to dispose the emergency situation. The rescue practice mainly concerned with the release of the early warning and all clear, the report of the danger information, the practice of Sea Patrol Boat, the Site Traffic Control, transfer of the people with risks, the disposal of the danger, the save on water and the pull of the boat.

Because of the expanding of Yangtze River during the operated period of the ships with high water level of Three Gorges reservoir area, besides the cold weather of winter, the rescue practice of passenger ship during the foggy day has been approved. It is aimed at improving the ability of operating the equipments of the ship of mariners' and the capability of rescue workers'.
