Furong Cave is called a large limestone cave and formed 1.2 million years ago with the stable temperature inside of 16.1 degree. Furong Cave covers a total area of 37000 square meters of the bottom of the cave with 2700 meters in length which 1860 meters for sightseeing. There are 185000 people accepted into the Furong Cave at the same time.
There are more than 70 kinds of stalactites explored in the Furong Cave such as stalactite and stalagmite, stone pillars, stone waterfall, stone flag, stone grape, and coral crystal flower. There are also full of mineral resources such as calcites and gypsums, aragonites and magnesites. All of the sediments formed as the different shapes such as the needle, the hair, and the hairpins, which most of them are few to be found in the world.
Known as the incredible and magnificent scenery of the Furong Cave, it has been praised as "the Resplendent Underground Artistic Palace" by the chairman of the China's Cave institute while the other name of "the Super Scenery of Furong Cave of the World" by the experts of Australia Cave Institution. There is another praise of "the Best Cave for Sightseeing of the World" by the World Cave Association.

According to the senior engineer of China Cave institution, the Furong Cave is the World-class one that contains dozens of sediments of different types, that is to say almost every kind of sediments of the world can be found in Furong Cave. It features the magnificent space inside of 40 – 50 meters in high. When you step into the Furong Cave, the stackable stone flowers and tactic stalagmites impressed people much, all of which are leaked from the water of the palisades to accumulate over a long period.
There are only two kinds of plants exist in the Furong Cave, ferns and mosses. It is said that the seeds of the plants were bred in 100 millions ago when the time of dinosaur. After so many centuries, the stone crystal flowers and the curly stones on the palisades formed the incredible scenery of the shape of silver silk yam, which looks like the hairs of girls. The large number of crystal flowers is as pure as white in the Furong Cave, which is called the No.1 of China.
Furong Cave situated in Wulong Country in Chongqing Municipality. On the 27th 2007, Furong Cave has applied for the World Natural Heritage being the only one scenic spot of cave of China.

The group of Furong Cave is known as "The World Largest Cave" with America Mammoth Cave and French Kela Musi Cave (La Grotte de Clamouse in French) together.
