Furong Cave situated at the bank of the Furong River 4 kilometers away from the Jiangkou town of Wulong Country, which explored in May 1993 by the Chinese scientists and Australia scientists together. Furong Cave has been appraised as "the Wonder of the World – Cave Scenic Spot of Level 1" and "the Underground Artistic Palace and the Cave of Scientific Museum". Furong Cave covers a total area of 370,000 square meters with a length of 2700 meters, which contains 11000 square meters of "Brilliant Hall". Almost 30 kinds of stalactites of the world have been found in Furong Cave which impressed people of the magnificent scenery.
On the 27th 2007, the scenery of Southern China Karst has been applied for the "the World Natural Heritage" successfully in Christchurch in New Zealand, which Southern China Karst conssits of the Wulong Karst, Yunnan Stone Forest and Guizhou Karst. Wulong Karst contains Furong Cave, the largest group of Tiansheng Bridge, and Karst Tiankeng (Tiankeng is a steep palisades of huge cubage with the shape of the well and barrel).
Consists of many caves such as Qikeng Cave, Dongba Cave, the Water Curtain Cave, Furong Cave and the Square Cave, Furong Cave is grand place of explorers and tourists. The Qikeng Cave is representative of the lengthways view especially for the explorers and the Furong Cave is representative of the transverse view especially for the ordinary tourists.
Furong Cave has been praised as the National 4A level scenic spot with the magnificent sceneries. It was explored in 1993 and opened to public in 1994, which is called one of the larger cave groups through the world.
In the Furong Cave, there are five scenery spots called the "Resplendent Underground Artistic Palace" by the world experts of the cave. They are "the Origin of Life" "Coral Jade Pool" "Huge Fly-waterfall" "the King of the Stone Flower" and "Crystal Flower Pool with the shape of the Canine Teeth". The Coral Jade Pool especially attracts many more people with its unique sight view. It was composed of the calcite crystal flower of light color and the stalagmites with the water area of 30 square meters around, 0.5 – 1.3 meters of water depth around. The pool water is pure and limpid which leads people to have a look at the calcite crystal flower in it. The stalagmites on the crystal flower looks like the fairy dancing under the water.
There are different kinds of stalactites, stone flowers and curly stones surrounded above the Coral Jade Pool in Furong Cave, which shows the magnificent and sumptuous scenery being the First Superior Cave Scenery of China.
