Chongqing Support Meeting Attract Investment of 179.3 Billion Yuan

On October 26th, national targeted support meeting of Three Gorges Project Economic and Trade Fair of Chongqing (hereinafter referred to as support meeting) held in Wanzhou City, with a major project signing ceremony. 91 of project contract has been signed in this support meeting with an agreement of 194.999 billion yuan of total investment, which is the largest meeting of all after the completion of Three Gorges Dam Projection.

There were 68 contracts of major investment promotion project with a total investment of 179.301 billion yuan during the meeting. Among the contractions, 32 of contracted projects were invested in Wanzhou City which is the biggest migratory city during the construction of Three Gorges Dam,  with a total investment of 88.674 billion yuan, accounting for 46.67% of total numbers. The first, second and third industry accounted for 8.38% of the total amount of investment, 67.37% and 24.25%.

The support meeting has been held in Wanzhou City for several years, which has become a key of expanding the opening to outside and strengthening the communication with developed area. After the construction of Three Gorges Dam, the support meeting becomes more and more important and popular for investors.

According to the report, suburban counties of Chongqing Municipality has imported large numbers of influential investments of economic cooperation projects during this support meeting, such as Chongqing West Textile City (Wanzhou), Wanzhou Coal, Western China Security (Emergency) Industry base (Ba'nan district of Chongqing), Chang'an Kuayue Third Engineering and Parts Industry (Wanzhou), Western China (International) Lighting industry (Wanzhou) etc.
