Fairy Mountain - Brief Introduction

Fairy Mountain State Forest Park is one of China's National 4A-level Scenic Spots as well as a National Geological Park. Fairy Mountain located on north bank of WuJiang River of Wulong Country, Chongqing, within the Wuling Mountain Range. Fairy Mountain State Forest Park owns a total area of 8910 hectares and an average elevation of 1900 m, which has a highest peak of 2033 m. Transportation links in the area are convenient and fast, with the urban area of Chongqing just a one-hour drive from Wulong Country.

Fairy Mountain – Scenic

With its uniquely famous mountains and grasslands of south of Yangtze River, a rare example of dense forest snowfields in southern China, and a wonderful landscape of green forests and vast pastures, it has the reputation of being the No.1 Pasture in Southern China, as well as the "Orient's Switzerland". Fairy Mountain – Legend

Long time ago, there was a poor child who grazed cows and cut grass for landlord as father's debt. One day, when he went to a place called Rinsing Pond, he found a suit of beautiful clothes. At that time, a beautiful girl appeared and told him she lost her clothes. Then the cowboy returned it back to her. After that, they got married. But unfortunately, the landlord wanted to grab the girl to be a wife when he heard of it.

But the girl actually was a fairy, she intelligently killed the landlord but at last she became a mountain over there. The mountain located on the top of cliff, being a symbol of spreading justice. And that's the origine of the name of Fairy Mountain. 

Fairy Mountain – Snow Sports

Snow Sports on Fairy Mountain includes double plate skiing and snowboarding, snow flying saucer (snow circle) sledding, skiing sedan, Pili board ski, snow boat, snow sledge, snow motor and snow bicycle and other recreation facilities, which make sure of the tourists the passionate of "Real Dense Forests and Vast Pastures, Weekly Snow Carnival". For its completed of Fairy Mountain Ski Resort, it is the lowest latitude and the largest alpine skiing and slippery pasture in China.
