Chongqing Wulong International Mountain Quest

Brief Introduction

Chongqing Wulong International Mountain Quest is held by the State Physical Culture Administration, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, Chongqing Municipal Government. It is one of the three outdoor sports with great influence, large scale and high level.

The Development History

Since 2003, under the leadership of the State Physical Culture Administration, Chongqing Municipal Committee and Municipal Government, Wulong County has succeeded in holding 9 Mountain Quests. Among the Quests, the three ones of 2003, 2004 and 2005 were challenge. In 2006, the Quest was live broadcast by satellites and the Quest was upgraded to international Quest. In 2007, the scale and level of the Quest was improved, and began to be held by the State Physical Culture Administration, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, Chongqing Municipal Government, becoming the only International outdoor A level competition. The Quest attracts people from 40 countries and regions such as Europe, Asia, North America, Oceaniaand Africa.

Events

Cross-country Race, Mountain Bike, Team Boating, Canoe, Drifting, Mountain-climbing, Cave Exploring, Rope Skill.

Schedule

The whole schedule lasts for 4 days, with 230 kilometers long. The Qualifying lasts for 45 minutes. The formal competition is 3 days long,. The schedule of each day is 6 to 9 hours, making up of the events mentioned above.

Rules

The rules of the Wulong International Mountain Quest are made with the Reference of that of the Chinese Mountaineering Association.

The judges and staff are selected by the Chinese Mountaineering Association and Wulong County bureau of sport .

In the formulary time, the corresponding schedule must be finished and the results should be recorded.

The final rankings are arranged by the time consuming.

The group scores rank the top 14 will win prize cups, certifications and money award. The others will be enrolled according to the specific competition results.

Each day, the top three will be awarded with money.

All the teams finish the competitions will be issued with monumental cups.

Some of the technology facilities are provided by the Commission, while the personal equipments and articles for daily use are brought your own.
