Huangbodu Drifting

Brief Introduction

Huangbodu Scenic Spot is located at the southeast of Wulong County, about 3 kilometers away from the main county seat. The scenic spot is surrounded by mountains, with gurgling streams, deep and serene gorges and winding path leading to a secluded quiet place. The luxuriantly green bamboo sea and the leisurely sand coordinate with each other, being the back yard garden of Wulong County.

Huangbodu is the paradise of people playing with water and swimming in summer. When it is hot in the afternoon or when people get free, they would drive to Huangbodu to paddle and swim. Huangbodu Drifting

The water doesn't flow very fast, being suitable for the learners to drift there. Changtu River is a tributary of Wujiang River, and Huangbodu Drifting is at the best reach of Changtu River, with the depth of no more than 2 meters. The whole length of Huangbodu Drifting is 8 kilometers. While drifting, you may enjoy the gorgeous scenery, as well as the artless folk custom and quiet rurality, such as the primitive papermaking, thick bamboo tube waterwheel, farmers and buffalo, wooden bridge and fisherman. Along the drifting bank, there are many Joyous Farmer's Houses. At the destination of the drifting, you may take part in many entertainment activities.

New Trends of Huangbodu Drifting

The newly built parking lot about 2000 square meters at the terminal point of the drifting has been put into use.

The toilets, guard rails and brands would be planned and designed unified.

As for the facilities, there will be another 130 double rafts, 40 trio rafts and more than 400 life jackets.

The staff at the scenic spot would be in unified forms and provide services and dial-a-cheat confidential hotline for the tourists all day long.

There will be quality and safety supervisor providing training for the staff.

Tips

Transportation: it will take you about two hours to get to Wulong from Chongqing. The bus will go through the Chongqing-Hunan Highway. It's only about ten minutes to get to Huangbodu from Wulong County.

Accommodation: you may get back to Wulong County to accommodate the hotels or pitch a tent there.

Delicacy: there are special dishes at the Joyous Farmers' house, and you may cook dishes by yourselves.
