In 2006, the event movie, Curse of the Golden Flower, directed by Zhang Yimou, owned an unprecedented success. Being the only exterior of this movie, the Natural Three Bridges became the tourism card of Wulong.

The 20 minutes of Wulong in Curse of the Golden Flower

The movie is one and half an hour long, among which, the scene of Wulong lasts for 20 minutes. What's more, at the beginning of the movie, what leaps to the eyes is the scene of the fight at the grand and magnificent Wulong Tiankeng post house with incessant occurrences. The Five Elements Influencing the Photographing

The fog: the vertical distance of the bottom of the Tiankeng to the mouth is seventy even more than 100 meters, looking up, you may see the fog spreading all over the mountain. In the Tiankeng, the airiness is good, so there is little fog. What the problem the fog brings is not in the filming, but in the transportation.

The rain: Tiankeng is in the landform of Karst, been washed and brushed by the flowing water for hundreds of years, so the geological structure is unique. There are many underground rivers in the Tiankeng. If filming the rain play, it is richly endowed by nature. But if not, once it rains, the abundant rainfall would bring much trouble to the production team.

The stone: most of the roads are built along the foot of the mountains along the river. As the landform is cliffy, many roads are built by excavating mountains. Taking a bus from Fuling to Wulong, you also need to get through some channels with water dropping. The rain brushes the mud, and the stones are likely to be tottering, thus you are easily to be hit by the stones.

The nature: it's said that Zhou Yimou took the technology of aerial photography. As the area of the Tiankeng is large, if photographing the cavalry on the winding narrow plank road from the upper, it would be very easy to handle. But if flying into the post house from the stone caves, it is more difficult. Though the airplane used to photograph is not much bigger than the model airplane, the zigzag of Tiansheng Cave and Qinglong Cave makes it still challengeable for the technician.

The people: according to the report, after the production team went into the post house, the panorama lift at the entrance was blockaded and not open to the tourists. The tourists should change their way to the exit of the scenic spot, getting into Tiankeng through a hill covered with forests. What's more, if the production team needed, the forbidden zone would extend from the Tiankeng to the lower side of Tiankeng. The tourists and the production team wrangled with each other. The conflict between the production team and scenic spot management was intensified. As the large number of the tourists, the conflict was unenviable.
