Weixing Lake - Brief Introduction

Weixing Lake Scenic Spot is a national AAAA scenic area, located in Shuangzhu Town, Yongchuan County of Chongqing. It is 63 kilometers from the main city zone of Chongqing and 10 kilometers form Yongchuan County. Together with the national forest park-Chashanzhuhai, Chongqing Wild Zoo and Shonggai Ancient Town, they are situated at the same golden tourist route. Weixing Lake is the main scenic spot of western Chongqing as well as that of the traffic main artery of Chuannan, Zhendongbei and Qianxibei.

Weixing Lake - Scenic Features

With Weixing Lake being the center, the Weixing Scenic Spot has an urban area of 12 square kilometers. Weixing Lake is 8 kilometers long and the water surface is 1500 mu. The lake crisscrosses, forming many peninsulas and islands. On the northern bank of the west lake, there is the National Agriculture Tourism Demonstration Zone, the Provincial Forest Park - Huanggua Mountain and the famous Bizigou Scenic Spot on the Southern Bank of east lake, there is the Jinshanwei Ecological Garden. The beautiful Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences is by the Weixing Lake. At the Weixing Lake Scenic Spot, there is the world on water, with well-appointed basic facilities of tourism and full functions services, the Kaiming Pleasure Ground on water and the holiday village wharf. You also may see the Shigui Temple and Kangle Palace, all of which are with features of religion and folk culture. The delicacy includes the Xinghu Fish, Japanese Pepper snakehead and all kings of hot spicy fish, being famous all over the western Chongqing. Weixing Lake - Tips

You may take a bus at the Chengjiaping Bus Station, going through the Chengdu-Chongqing Highway, and get off at Yongchuan. Then you may take another bus along the Yong-Hu road, after 10 kilomters ride, you may get to the Weixing Scenic Spot.
