City Transportation of Chongqing – Brief Introduction

There are many transportation methods in Chongqing Proper, such as taxi, bus, ligh rail train, subway, cableway and ferry boat. But there are very few bicycles on the road of Chongqing because of the mountainous landform of Chongqing.

City Transportation of Chongqing - Bus

The bus operating time is 06:00am - 09:30pm. The price for Ordinary Bus is 1 – 2 RMB and the price for High-class Bus (Air-conditioned Bus) is 1.5 – 4.5 RMB.

City Transportation of Chongqing - Light Rail Train

Currently, only route No.2 of light rail train is running. The route No.1, No.3 and No.6 will be operated in 2011 and 2012.

There is only cableway still running in Chongqing. That is Yangtze River Cableway which is operated by Chongqing Cableway Company.
