An Overview of A'yi River

A'yi River was originally named Changxi (long stream) River. It springs from the Fenshui County of Guizhou Province, winds northeast to the Pengshui County of Chongqing and finally flows into the Wujiang River in the Wanzu County. The scenic area of A'yi River is a pearl on the tourism line of Wujiang River Gallery and was awarded as top of the New Bayu 12 Sceneries and one of the top ten scenic areas of Chongqing popular among the tourists. It is a typical scenic area of Chongqing eco-tour.

Scenic Spots of A'yi River

The scenic area of A'yi River is a unique ecological scenic area. You can enjoy the beautiful natural sceneries and feel the folk customs of the local people. Before entering the A'yi River scenic area, you can enjoy the typical gorge scenery of the Muzi Stream. The gorge scenery of Muzi Stream is primitive and elegant with crystal clear water and fish swimming here and there in the water.

Bamboo Bridge of A'yi River Scenic Area

The bamboo bridge is the main entrance to the A'yi River scenic area. Then what is a bamboo bridge? Long long ago, villagers made bridges with bamboos to pass the river. This method is rarely used in that area. Later, they was called bamboo bridges by the local people.

Huangyu Cave of A'yi River

Water in the A'yi River is quite clear for that its upper reach is in the unpolluted mountain area. There is a small cave here named Huangyu (yellow croaker) Cave. It is an unfathomable cave with yellow croakers appearing and then disappearing. The big yellow croaker weighs 4 or 5 kilograms. It is delicious. The pity is that these yellow croakers are quite sly and difficult to catch.

Yingwu Gorge of A'yi River

The steep cliffs of Yingwu (parrot) Gorge are divided into several parts by the lush vegetations. When the weather changes here, you can always see the mountain enveloped and surrounded with clouds and mists with the peaks appearing and then disappearing. It is like a paradise on earth. Under the gorge is the green water of stream flowing through the valleys and forests, very magnificent.

Drifting in A'yi River

A'yi River is almost 36 kilometers long with many fords near the bank, thus becoming a perfect resort for the drifting. The whole drifting journey covers about 7 hours with 2 hours' gentle drifting and 5 hours' thrilling experiences.
