Jialing River Cableway - History

The Jialing River Cableway was built on the 15th. of December in 1980. The building cost is 3.78 milliom RMB. And it was open to the public on the 1st. of January in 1982. As one of the most important transportation methods connecting Yuzhong District and Jiangbei District, the cableway received ove 12,000 passengers a day in average till 1990s. The biggest amount of passengers it received is 25,400 a day, Mr. Deng (the head of Jialing River Cableway) said.
