The Capital of China Hot Spring – Chongqing

Chongqing is awarded as "The Capital of China Hot Spring" recently by the Ministry of Land and Resources of China. According to the report, the range of "The Capital of China Hot Spring" covers 9 districts of the municipality and the area is 5467 square kilometers. There are 72 different hot springs. And the terrestrial heat resource storage is 60222 cubic meters per day, the utilized storage is 28836 cubic meters per day.

Why is Chongqing awarded as The Capital of China Hot Spring? There are 108 terrestrial heat mines in Chongqing, ranking the first in China. And there are a huge amount of terrestrial heat resource storage. Spring water storage reaches 267 billion cubic meters. The daily use amount of the spring water can reach 1.21 million cubic meters.

Chongqing Hot Spring Association announces that there are 10000 square kilometers of prospected hot spring resources and over 100 prospected hot spring sites in Chongqing. And there are many kinds of hot spring, such as riverside hot spring, lake-view hot spring, island hot spring and mountain hot spring. Beside huge amount, Chongqing Hot Spring is also noted for good quality. The water tempreture is mainly 40℃ to 55℃, the highest tempreture is 60℃.
