Brief Introduction of Hongyadong

Hongyadong is located at the intersection of Cangbai road in Chongqing business center, Yangtze River and Jialing River. History Background of Hongyadong

There are 17 city gates in ancient Chongqing during Ming dynasty, including 9 open gates and 8 closed gates. Hongyang Gate is one of the closed gates which means that the gate was only for military uses and you can not pass through this gate. And there was a gate tower built on it and cannons were well equiped to protect Chongqing City. Therefore, Cangbai road used to be called Gun Emplacement Street.
